Rapidly growing international marketing and project management company headquartered in the Washington, D.C. metro area is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a key programmatic position. The company provides system, sub-systems, system components, and technology development solutions to US Defense Department customers, defense industry OEMs, USG/state/local Homeland Security and Law Enforcement Agencies.
About the Opportunity
General Manger for Survivability, Force Protection, and C4ISR
The General Manager will report to the Vice President for Business Development and Defense Operations. This position has responsibility for directing the marketing and program management activities for the company?s Directors and Managers in the area of Survivability, Force Protection, and C4ISR. Responsibilities will include supervision of ; development and execution of marketing plans; responses to RFI / RFP opportunities; and various program management activities relative to contracts with U.S. industry prime contractors or with the USG / DOD. Additionally, assists with the Vice President, Business Development and Defense Operations and President of the company regarding strategic planning, high level marketing, and business development activities with industry prime contractors and the USG / DOD. Specific responsibilities include marketing, sales, and project management support for various defense and industrial suppliers to the U.S.G and DOD. May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate has a military or government background and considerable combined military, government, and industry projects and procurement process background, preferably with industry experience in defense marketing or program management. All applicants should have at least 7 ? 10 years government marketing management experience in program management or procurement. Strong knowledge of the USG / DOD - RFI / RFP process. Understanding and marketing knowledge for Survivability, Force Protection, and C4ISR a plus. An education background of business and marketing is preferred.
