IFS-IM-DIRECTOR CHANNEL DEVELOPMENT

The Director, Channel Development develops channel strategies to maximize success of taking the company's products to market. Develops programs and practices to ensure the effectiveness of channel partners. Directs / manages plans and programs to achieve sales objectives through various channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop policies and strategies to establish distribution channels
-Identify target markets. Perform market segmentation and penetration planning.
-Ensure the channels selected align with target markets.
-Identify coverage requirements.
-Identify opportunities for new channel members, including support for OEM opportunities.
-Assist with the optimal alignment of the internal sales structure with the sales channel.
-Ensure that existing channel members align with key strategies and are achieving targeted results.
-Identify, deliver, and/or facilitate training.
-Ensure company resources are available and in place to support channel members.
-Establish and manage annual evaluation policies, procedures and criteria. Determine key performance metrics, collection and reporting methods.
-Manage distribution agreements, recommending adjustments as appropriate to terms and conditions.
-Directs plans and programs to effectively sell the company's products to channel members.
-Programs include floorplan, incentive pricing and promotions
-Establishes policy and strategy for reporting and managing inventory levels
-Directs plans and programs to effectively sell the company's products from channel members' inventory to end-users, including pricing, promotion, financing, and co-op programs.

EDUCATION STANDARD & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing. MBA preferred. 8-12 years sales and marketing experience. Knowledge of and participation in developing channel strategies. Prior experience in an organization with an established, effective distribution development practices preferred. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in principal of channel planning and development. Experience in both independent and direct sales operations preferred. Knowledge and/or experience in the development of training programs. Must be effective in working cross-functionally environment (high level of interaction with sales management). Strong communication skills with an ability to work with all levels within the organization. Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing. Knowledge of business mathematics and finance principles.
