Monitors compliance with corporate financial accounting policies, specifically focusing on those applicable the company’s balance sheet accounts. Coordinates applicable testing and review activities to confirm compliance with requirements, including development of appropriate methods for selection, organization and arrangement of data for presentation to management. Identifies potential issues requiring correction; works with business unit leaders and other stakeholders as applicable to ensure proper tracking and remediation of identified issues. Facilitates periodic sessions to review results of testing activities with Controller and other applicable stakeholders. Coordinates collection and analysis of status information on various control activities and prepares applicable management status reports. Coordinates the review of balance sheet variances and associated monthly variance reports, recommending opportunities for improvement as appropriate. Identifies, recommends and implements enhancements to financial policies and procedures to improve financial processes and internal controls over financial reporting. Ensures proper maintenance of appropriate data files on testing and review activities in line with SOX requirements. Manages special accounting-related projects as assigned and may review the work of junior staff personnel.



Required Work Experience:

Three years of United accounting experience or equivalent outside experience.

 

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA and/or master’s degree a plus.

 

Required Skills:

Applicant must have demonstrated computers skills, especially in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Solid leadership skills required along with excellent oral and written communications. Proven analytical and problem solving skills also required.
