Determines property valuations and negotiates tax assessments and settlements with state and local jurisdiction. Develops evidentiary material and represents the company in tax negotiations and protests. Represents company at conferences of governmental tax administrators in determining and developing sound, constructive policies dealing with tax administration. Coordinates state and local audits of sales and use, property, fuel and liquor tax returns and makes recommendations for appropriate settlements. Reviews tax returns, researches tax laws and regulations, and develops procedures and recommendations for proper tax return preparation.



Education: Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting, with graduate coursework and/or professional license/certification preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum of eight years of related tax experience as a Specialist - Property and Transaction Tax, or equivalent outside working experience.
