Tax Manager, REITS

We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join the Real Estate Investment Trust section of the Financial Services practice in our New York City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Advise clients regarding partnership, corporate, multi-state and international tax issues
?Advise clients on inbound tax real estate investments and transactions
?Review complex corporate, consolidated, partnership and multi-state tax returns
?FAS 109 accounting for the income tax of Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and non-SEC clients
?Understand and analyze the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) rules affecting the taxpayer
?Articulate complex financial information both verbally and in writing
?Provide tax planning and present options in a broad based forum
?Manage cross-functional teams in the delivery of high class services
?Work in, and be part of, a multi-disciplinary team
?Keep up-to-date on current tax practices
?Provide industry knowledge
?Develop, train and mentor staff and Seniors



QUALIFICATIONS:
?Five years of federal tax experience
?Previous experience in reviewing any of the following tax returns: 1065 partnership, 1120 corporate consolidated, or international tax returns
?Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
?Prior experience in a public accounting or tax advisory firm
?CPA
?Knowledge of real estate tax matters
