V.P. Chief Financial Officer - software experience

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be responsible for Global Finance.

 

Responsibilities include:Develop and implement the strategy, functions, initiatives, and activities that support the company's strategic plan. Oversee financial plans, policies, accounting practices and procedures.  Direct the controller function, accounting, treasury and tax. Prepare information for the SEC and reports to shareholders. Advance the company?s relationship with the financial community.  Make presentations to the financial community and investors. Keep the financial community current on company performance and industry trends. Oversee financial and other information between the company, its shareholders and the financial community. Represent the company in customer, vendor and partner contract negotiations. Recruit, motivate and mentor members of the finance team to support corporate objectives. Participate in the development of compensation and commission plans. Actively involved in audit and board meetings. Provide input into key strategic decisions concerning customer prioritization and pricing.

 

As a key member of the company's Executive Management Team, this executive will have a significant impact on the success of the company, and will have extensive interaction with other senior executives. As such, s/he should be recognized as a dynamic, charismatic leader.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, energetic finance professional with a minimum of 15 years experience, with the last 10 years in management or senior management roles.  Experience in the software business is a must; enterprise software is a plus. The candidate will have demonstrated consistent success in a senior finance role within a publicly held company.

 

Experience and competencies will include:

 Proven experience dealing with complex business issues and a strong understanding of the software business. Outstanding leadership skills; a proven ability to attract, develop and motivate a world-class finance team. Experience working collaboratively with other senior executives on business issues. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written. High-energy, team-oriented, collaborative individual with strong decision making skills and a focus on results. Management style which encourages open expression of ideas and opinions and a full discussion of differing points of view. Finance and/or business related degree; MBA preferred.
