Vice President Finance/CFO


 


Our Client is a multinational corporation is expanding their operations into the Houston area. They have us searching for candidates with 10/15 years of accounting experience to fill their VP of Finance/CFO and oversee their fast growing operations at this new facility. This is an excellence opportunity for accounting professionals with Senior Controller experience or even a VP of Finance with only a few years experience.  The candidate must be a take-charge individual with the necessary knowledge and experience in accounting management to execute all required accounting duties and various administrative functions. Must provide strategic and tactical financial assistance and leadership on the evaluation of acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, start-ups and divestitures.


 


Job Requirements:


 


1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.  CPA or Master’s degree preferred.


 


2. Minimum five year’s accounting management experience, preferably commercial/manufacturing in nature.


 


3. Excellent analytical, leadership and management skills.


 


4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


 


5. Experience in directing merger and acquisition initiatives preferred.


 


6. Experience in the development and maintenance of MIS systems preferred


 


7. Ability to relocate.


 


 


Description of Duties:


 


1. Plans, directs and controls the organization’s overall financial plans and policies, accounting practices, and risk management programs.


 


2. Directs functions, including treasury, budgeting, tax, accounting, auditing, business development, credit, risk management, insurance activities, and various administrative functions for the Company.


 


3. Provides strategic and tactical financial assistance and leadership on the evaluation of acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, start-ups and divestitures.


 


4. Ensures satisfaction of Company’s internal and external financial reporting and disclosure obligations.


 


5. Participates with senior management as a partner in the financial development of strategic plans and as a liaison with the parent Company at the level of both the corporation and individual business units.


 


6. Identifies profit improvement and cost reduction opportunities.


 


7. Provides financial and administrative support to plant and corporate managers and staff.


 


8. Prepares divisional investment analysis and investment proposals for new business opportunities consistent with divisional and company strategy.
