AR Manager, CIS

CITY: Chicago STATE: Illinois COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Effectively manage/coordinate a team of 2 collectors in the US & 21 in India. * Streamline Accounting & Controllership practices across the team, and work with Controllership team to adopt Healthcare SOP's* Lead cross-functional projects that focus on improving the commercial process and the collections efforts* Manage dispute resolution process and act as a liaison between AR and internal customers* Prepare and present management reports on Collection team performance, including past dues, unapplied cash/credits, cash collected, and customer satisfaction* Ownership of credit responsibilities, including review of customers for credit worthiness, and determining bad debt provisions/writeoffs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and minimum of three years of financial work experience; or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and minimum of two years Corporate Audit Staff experience; or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of five years financial work experience* Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas* Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing* Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLookup, Macros* Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations* Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others * You must be legally authorized to work in the United States* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background* You must be willing to take a drug test* You must be willing to work out of an office located in Wauwatosa, WI * You must be willing to travel 10% of the time, primarily to Barrington, IL and India

Desired:
* Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs * Leadership experience: has minimum of two years experience leading team members * Green Belt Certified* Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP* Experience leading in a matrixed environment* Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values* Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
