Job Title:Accounting Manager ? Oversee corporate finance department for a small consulting firm focused on delivering technology solutions to the Federal Government

Job Responsibilities:

?  Invoicing, tracking, recording and monthly financial analysis of project expenses and revenue.

?  Assists in all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable and month-end closing.

?  Establishes, modifies, and coordinates job costing policies, and procedures.

?  Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles project accounts and related reports.

?  Review and analysis of balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.

?  Assist in monthly account reviews; prepares, analyzes and reconciles monthly financial statements.

?  Prepare cost proposals in accordance with FAR & DCAA regulations

?  Assist in audit and tax preparation schedules.

?  Provides management with timely reviews of project financial status and progress.

?  Keeps up to date on overall activities of the financial team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

?  Assists with special projects as required.

?  Prepares one-, three-, and five-year financial plans by collecting historical data; developing and estimating trends; preparing assumptions; examining management plans; developing projections

?  Projects financial return by analyzing risks and opportunities in new ventures

?  Improves debt structure by developing refinancing options.

?  Improves financial management and control by evaluating and redesigning financial systems

?  Updates job knowledge by studying new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks

?  Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed

?  Develop and lead a small and growing accounting team

?  Interface with the executive team, our clients, and subcontractors



Requirements:

?  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance

?  CPA and/or MBA preferred

?  8+ years in accounting/finance field

?  Government contracting experience

?  2-5 years experience with Deltek GCS Premier

?  Ability to work with all levels of management.

?  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

?  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

?  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

?  Commitment to excellence and high standards.

?  Ability to perform as a key member of the management team
