Accounting and Finance Manager to 100k -- LA

Job Description: 11 billion dollar company in Los Angeles has an opening for a finance and accounting manager. This position is responsible for managing a group 10 people focusing on both the accounting and operational aspects of transactions with their suppliers. Primary examples of those transactions include rebate programs, product returns, invoice discrepancies, and drop ship billings.

In addition, this position will be responsible for reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and coordinating monthly reporting to the corporate office yet is not a traditional month-end close type accounting role with full responsibilities over all general ledger functions.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong overall business sense who possesses a combination of accounting and operational experience allowing him or her to excel in a job emphasizing strategic thinking, defining functional roles and responsibilities, and driving improvements through process changes within a department.

Basic qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Accounting
. 8+ years relevant experience
. Previous experience managing a staff of 6+ members
. Advanced skills in MS Excel(proficiency with macros, pivot tables, vlookups)
. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications:
. CPA
. Internal audit experience
. Experience with any type of rebate programs or supplier side accounting
. Experience in high tech or distribution industries
