Accounts Receivable Assistant

The Accounts Receivable Assistant is primarily responsible for preparing daily deposits, applying cash to the customer accounts in the Accounts Receivable portfolio, and assisting with the reconciliation of the bank account.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and take deposits to the bank before 4:00 p.m.  Deposits are prepared to correspond with each type of application to the accounts receivable portfolio. (Daily)Reconcile all checks received from the Logistics against the manifest, enter, and accurately post payments received from these deliveries. (Daily) Enter and post credit card batches accurately from the Window Stores, Service Department, and Credit Department. (Daily) Enter and post the lockbox checks accurately. (Daily) Enter and post payments received from the retail financing program accurately and forward any data needed by Accounting or Windows Made Easy Segment of the sales force to them. (Daily) Responsible for adjustments to customer?s accounts within Accounts Receivable for under payments, over payments, and prompt pay discounts. Review the pre-manifest daily for accurate 'Cash on Delivery' (COD) charges. 

Complete Cash Balance Reports and distribute to appropriate personnel. (Daily) Sort and distribute invoices to members of the credit department for mailing. (Daily) Various other duties as assigned.

 

RequirementsMust have an Associates Degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.Must have strong oral and written communication skills.Must be detail oriented and recognize and treat information with a high degree of confidentiality.Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.  Able to operate a 10-key pad.
