Alternative Investments - Accounting Analyst

In this position, you will supervise the accounting and custody administration for any array of alternative investment products, including hedge fund, private equity, managed futures, real estate and commodity fund of funds. You will oversee accounting and custody vendors; financial statement preparation and review; investment and investor transaction processing; budgeting and expense management; bank account reconciliation; cash forecasting; and project management.

 

Must be able to work independently, set priorities, recognize urgency and exercise discretion in handling confidential information. Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance, three plus years? fund administration or related experience and a strong understanding of financial statements are required. Must be self-motivated, able to take initiative, solve issues and offer suggestions to continually improve processes. Practical hands-on exposure and knowledge of laws/regulations governing alternative investments is preferred. fund compliance and audit. In addition, you will develop and maintain operational procedures, tax reporting, preparation of periodic investor correspondence and project management.
