Analyst

Provides analytical support for all departments and assists in the development of near and long term plans for Harrah?s Chester Casino & Racetrack. Assists with gathering information and performing analyses of on going property operations for timely presentation to management. Assists with special projects as assigned by the Manager of Planning & Analysis. Develops, maintains and enhances spreadsheets and databases. Prepares weekly forecasts, trend analysis and capital analysis. Assists with preparation and implementation of annual capital and operations plans including entry of data to the system.

Minimum Requirements
Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to change schedule with short notice.

Bachelor of Science or Administration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university is required. A minimum of 1-2 year financial or operational analysis experience preferred. Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner. Communicates clearly both orally and through written analysis, charts and graphs. Strong writing skills and business acumen. Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase and Microsoft Access a plus. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Gaming experience/knowledge is preferred.

Must have very strong analytical abilities. Must be able to work independently in an unstructured environment. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills. Must have good problem solving techniques and be detail oriented. Must have strong project management skills. Must be able to maneuver around office, effectively work at a desk and respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
