Approval Officer

Job Summary Responsible for Commerical underwriting and structuring credit proposals for business banking and/or commercial clients. Exercise loan authority individually, and, in concert with credit and risk management to extend appropriate financing solutions to customers in the target market according to underwriting process. The incumbent may be called on to take on customer facing responsibilities in obtaining background and financial information, articulating the bank as position and negotiating more complex relationships. Business, or Masters Degree desired, with 5 to 7 years credit underwriting experience, preferred. Prior Sales and/or customer service experience also preferred. 



Required:

Demonstrated ability to underwrite credits, exercise loan authority individually, and, in concert with credit and risk management to extend appropriate financing solutions to customers in the target market according to underwriting process.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel

Strong oral and written communications skills

 

 

Desired:

Business, or Masters Degree desired, with 5 to 7 years credit underwriting experience, preferred. Prior Sales and/or customer service experience also preferred.
