Assistant Controller

CITY: Erie STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Assistant Global Controller will be responsible for managing the operational accounting processes for GE Transportation, including remote locations in Mexico, Brazil and China. The essential functions will include: A) Leading financial monthly/quarterly closes.
B) Providing guidance and oversight on Sarbanes Oxley 404.
C) Coordinating testing and documentation for functional processes and communicating progress/issues to Corporate and Auditors.
D) Owning account reconciliation process; ensuring timely completion and reporting, leading training and process improvements necessary to improve quality of reconciliations and compliance with Corporate criteria. E) Leading annual pre-close preparation.
F) Working cross functionally to identify process improvement opportunities and drive consistency and best practice across the business.
G) Coaching and developing Controllership team.

Qualifications/Requirements:
A) Bachelors degree in Accounting.
B) Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Chartered Accountant or similar licensure.
C) Minimum of 7 years Accounting work experience.
D) Minimum of 2 yrs working with Oracle Financials.
E) Willing to be based in Erie, PA.
