Assistant Controller (DL)

Assistant Controller Responsibilities: · Supervising monthly consolidation of $3.5 billion company · Internal financial reporting for operating units, senior management, Board of Directors · External financial reporting to the SEC; quarterly earnings releases; assist with preparation of presentations to industry analysts · Corporate office operations (budget; close; accounts payable; payroll) · Supervise 3-4 corporate financial personnel · Managing Corporate office Section 404 quarterly work · Assist with consolidated budgeting / forecasting · Implement new accounting standards · Assist operating units with accounting and financial reporting for acquisitions and dispositions · Work closely with internal and external auditors · Assist with accounting for income taxes · Work closely with treasury; tax; shared services; legal; human resources/employee benefits · Key contact for operating units · Reporting to credit agencies Assist with the company’s financing transactions (debt/equity offerings) · Other special projects as assigned Requirements The position requires the following experience and skills · 12 - 15 years of experience - would consider someone as light as 8 years, and would consider someone a bit heavier. · Strong technical accounting and public company financial reporting experience · Proactive problem solver · Detail oriented / thorough · Strong management experience · Exceptional oral and written communication skills · Strong interpersonal skills · Dedicated professional · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Bachelor's degree, CPA a plus
