JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for managing the budgeting, forecasting and monthly close cycles for the Business Services and Administration Groups as well as providing support for the Technology Group consolidation. This will also include preparation of the Pearson Shared Operations (PSO) plan and Forecast balance sheets and responsibility for Plan and Forecast PRIME submissions. Additionally, this position will be responsible for monthly PSO management reporting and will act as the primary interface to the US Controller's organization.

This position will also manage PSO monthly intercompany transactions and work on special projects as needed.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the budget, forecasting and monthly closing cycles for the Business Services Group and the Operations Administration Group.
- Primary interface to US Controller's organization.
- Monthly intercompany transactions by reviewing all intercompany transactions recorded by Financial Analyst for accuracy. These include monthly allocations and pass-thru billings.
- Management Reporting/Commentary by consolidating monthly variance analysis submitted by various PSO groups and prepare first draft of commentary for submission to PLC.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Technology Group thru consolidation of bridge analysis from each area.
- Prepare summary schedules to be reviewed by VP Finance and CTO as necessary.
- Prepare plan and forecast balance sheets for PSO.
- Handle PSO Plan and Forecast PRIME submissions.

Related Work Experience
- 8 to 10 years progressive finance experience with a minimum of seven years in a management capacity.
- Significant experience with maintaining internal controls and Financial Reporting.
- Budget and forecasting experience desirable.
- Knowledge of Information Technology environment preferred.

Formal Education or Equivalent
Bachelors degree: Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Skills
- Experience with Hyperion Enterprise, SAP, MS Excel, Word & Powerpoint, proactive and analytically proficient.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required (written and verbal).
- Ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Ability to interface effectively with Senior Management.
- Must be able to handle projects and work independently.
- Supervision of one staff and staff development
