Asst Fund Controller

This individual will be responsible for all daily fund accounting functions. He or she will build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, auditors and act as a resource to address fund accounting, related issues. The candidate will possess excellent analytical, and general mutual funds accounting skills, including requisite knowledge of tax issues affecting mutual funds . The individual must have excellent communication and presentation skills to represent the CFO at internal and external meetings' •Manage the financial information and accounting systems and develop and maintain strong financial controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting •Proactively review and refine accounting strategies and policies to support and enhance the organization’s short and long range operating and business goals on an on-going basis. •Responsible for the preparation of financial statement and coordination of year end audits •Work along with outside auditors, and all internal departments •Ensure that the company is in compliance with IRS and SEC regulations regarding mutual funds; in particular, with the required distributions by investment companies under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code and the excise tax regulations •Works with other internal departments to understand current and future projects •Leads and directs the work of others. •Evaluate employee and manager’s performance and make salary recommendations to management. •Handle the regulatory compliance reporting •Handle the financial information reported on prospectuses •Handle the preparation of tax-returns, NSAR, Semi-annuals and annuals •Handle separate account preparation •Handle trust profitability analysis and trust rates of return •Perform projects as assigned by management •Oversee NAV calculations Please contact
