Audit Staff/Senior

As part of a progressive audit team responsible for auditing all aspects of Centex operations, this position will:

' Lead and participate on project teams that assess risk and evaluate controls and operational effectiveness. The individual will make recommendations that will help Centex enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

' Plan, conduct and communicate the results of independent internal audits and reviews in support of the Company's annual internal audit plan, including participating in a wide variety of financial, operational, regulatory, and specialty audits.

' Maintain effective business relationships and build partnerships with audited areas to ensure mutual understanding of audit scope, procedures and reporting progress.

' Perform internal control planning and testing of selected Financial Reporting, Corporate Governance, and Disclosure Controls, to support the company's evaluation of controls over financial reporting.

' Develop the skills necessary for advancement to other opportunities within Centex's family of businesses or within the Corporate Audit team.



On a regular basis, this position will lead and participate in project teams that:

' Assess risks and develop procedures to evaluate processes and controls.

' Interact with clients to understand business activities.

' Gather and evaluate information to identify opportunities to improve operating effectiveness.

' Work with business management to develop creative, practical recommendations and solutions to business process and control concerns.

' Document conclusions and report results and recommendations to management.





To achieve these objectives, the following skills and qualifications are required:

' Strong interpersonal skills

' Excellent written and verbal communication skills

' Analytical thinking

' Ability to prioritize tasks and take charge of projects

' Ability to work effectively while gathering information

' A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline

' One+ years audit, accounting, finance or related experience in public accounting or with a large/dynamic company

' MBA, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent a plus
