Business Data Analyst

Business Objects

More than 2 years of using Business Objects Development experience, preferably XIR version.

Experience in designing, creating and implementing Universes and corresponding data feeds.

Working with universe to access data models from other data sources using business rules.

Experience in designing & creating standard & ad hoc Reports.

Development experience in Business Objects Web Intelligence and Dashboard.

Accessing data from a data warehouse, building hierarchies and using drill model.

Experience with setting up and maintaining Security in Business Objects ? create user, access to reports etc.

 

Database & Data Warehouse

Experience with dimensional modeling (star schema).

Experience with data modeling and working with Logical and physical database modeling.

At least 1 year Hands on experience in development using Oracle 8i and up.

Proficiency with PL/SQL scripts and experience writing stored procedures.

Experience with SQL loader. Loading the data into staging area.

Hands on Experience in data validation in RDBMS by writing SQL Queries.

Experience in developing SQL*Loader scripts to load flat files into source staging database and plan the loads to run concurrently.

Familiar with Oracle concepts of partitioning, performance tuning using hints, working with Indexes.

Development & Working experience with ETL tools ? Experience using Sunopsis tool is desired but not required. Exposure to any other ETL tool is essential.

Some Exposure to Teradata is desired but not required.

 

Unix & Data Handling

At Least 1 year experience working on Unix platform.

Hands on Experience developing automated scripts in Unix shell scripts or batch files.

Experience in working with flat files data migration.

Experience to perform various test cases in the staging area.

Wireless & Entertainment knowledge.

Experience working with Wireless billing systems desired or Experience working with Entertainment.

 

 

Skillset

Database: Oracle 8i and up,

Reporting Tool : Business Objects (required), Crystal Reports

Tools: Erwin, Rational Rose and UML Design. (preferred)

Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Korn Shell
