Business Manager

Corinthian Colleges, Inc., a publicly traded corporation (Nasdaq: COCO) has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-oriented Business Manager to manage the Financial Aid department at our Georgia Medical Institute - Atlanta, GA campus.

General Duties:

Oversee the cash/financial aid collection process (cash flow) and student payment plan management ? billing

Ensure entries are input into the Company defined official electronic record keeping system and then transmitting to External and Corporate offices as scheduled, as well as daily bank deposits and reconciliations

Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, accreditation standards, and Title IV regulations

Act as a liaison with approved collection agencies

Track the institutional loan plan as required

Perform regular audits of the Institution student account records

Monitor charges, tuition, books fee, or any changes to student accounts as well as ensuring correct charges and adjustments are posted

Manage accounts payable process with the Corporate office and ensure all invoices are submitted in a timely and accurate manner

Monitor and control purchasing of supplies, including textbooks.

Maintain inventory while not exceeding budget restrictions

If required, oversee the operation of the College Bookstore, including submission of quarterly bookstore inventory to the Corporate office

Requirements:

Bachelors degree REQUIRED

2+ years experience in proprietary college operations

Knowledge of Federal & State loan programs

Experience with work-study, scholarship & campus based federal funding programs

Experience with refund issues

2+ years of management experience

Ability to interact with all levels of individuals involved in financial aid process

Computer skills including MicroSoft Office Suite

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail oriented & Problem solver

Ability to Multi-Task & Research skills

Accounting background helpful
