Business Manager, TIme4Media

This is an exciting opportunity to join Time4Media, the media industry leader of enthusiast brands such as Golf, This Old House, Popular Science, Field and Stream, and TransWorld Skateboarding amongst others.

The Business Manager position plays an integral role in the day-to-day financial management of the corporate area. This group consists of 12 departments, including Time4 Entertainment, Time4 Digital, Time4 Consumer Marketing, and Public Relations. He/she will provide financial expertise to these departments, providing the department heads with analysis reporting, and will work closely with the General Manager on various projects involving Time4Media corporate initiatives. Also, the Business Manager will act as the liaison between Time Inc Corporate Finance and Time4Media.

Additionally, the Business Manager will also work closely with the Business Managers across all of Time4Media?s properties, providing them with key support in executing their day-to-day activities as well as strategic initiatives.

Duties include:

Budget/Planning responsibilities across 12 departments
Manage occupancy related transactions for Time4Media offices at 2 Park Avenue
Manage accounts payable transactions for Time4Media offices outside of New York
Monthly financial close reviews, reconciliations, and management write-up
Capital spending forecasts and analysis
Identifying areas for and implementing efficiencies across Time4Media
Responsibility over key balance sheet accounts

Qualifications:

Goal oriented, highly motivated individual
Detail oriented, with strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Familiarity with MS Excel a must
Familiarity with Peoplesoft Financial systems a plus
Accounting background, CPA, and/or MBA a plus
