This role will provide strategic and business financial leadership to the brand managers and ensure the execution of the approved portfolio. It will ensure sound business analysis of product and investment propositions, driving creation of robust business models, providing transparent reporting of actual business performance and by developing a framework to deliver results. Possible range includes from the development of licensing agreements to the execution of acquisitions and divestitures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-depth financial analysis related to key strategic initiatives (e.g. long-term supply-chain decisions, marketing campaigns, capital expenditures) as well as tactical initiatives as determined by the external market Analyze and communicate monthly financial SBU segment results to management. Prepare Strategic Plan and financial forecast for brand/category segment coordinating with Demand side of the business (Sales, Marketing & R&D) Analyze competitive landscape and develop relevant benchmarks. Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business model and strategies. The role should expand the current boundaries of analytical thinking within the marketing brand managers. Implement the principles of Value Analysis Management (Porter Analysis) and ensure its integration into the SBU Strategy
Key Skills Required:Strong management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to convince, influence, and motivate all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong service mentality and willingness to perform responsibilities outside of the job description. Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision. Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change. Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented, and willing to drive change. Brand Analysis, consumer product profitability experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of business planning and costing experience.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
The ability to travel up to 10%.
Successful completion of a background and substance screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of business planning and costing experience.
3+ years of supervisory experience.
BS degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Advanced certification desired (MBA/CPA/CMA)
CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) experience.
Statistical management and modeling an asset.
Solid financial working knowledge/acumen.
Strong PC, spreadsheet, database and presentation skills.
