JOB SUMMARY:

To direct and oversee all financial activities of the corporation including review of financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.Oversees the accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep them informed and to offer direction.Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated. Confers with president, vice president of operations, director of contracts, Director of procurement, and division leaders to coordinate and prioritize planning.Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in market share. Estimates requirements for capital, land, financing, and an increase in the work force.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.C.P.A. designation preferred.Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information. (preferably Deltek).Eight to ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.Significant Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) interpretation and Cost Accounting Standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Requires strong interpersonal skills;Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the impact of decisions on the company's financial position and operations;Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion; must be able to identify conflicts of interest as they relate to business situations;Must have outstanding organizational and planning skills in order to manage workflow in an efficient and effective manner;Must have proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and other related applications; must be detail oriented with a high degree of attention to detail;Must be able to anticipate internal client needs on an "ad hoc" basis;Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written;Must be able to function with an advanced level of English verbal and written language skills, through demonstrated proficiency, testing or both;Must possess a current valid driver's license, andMust be a United States citizen.
