CORP DEV/ PLANNING MANAGER

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
As part of the Business Affairs team in Sun's Corporate Development & Alliances group, the Manager will assist in M&A and, to a lesser extent, equity investments. The manager's primary responsibilities include:
* Preparing, summarizing and presenting valuation analyses
* Creating detailed financial models
* Supporting negotiation efforts
* Conducting rigorous financial analyses on potential acquisition candidates
* Organizing and driving due diligence activities
* Maintaining lists of due diligence issues and resolutions
* Leading the analysis around capitalization tables
* Preparing ad hoc research and support work as necessary

The Manager is an integral part of Sun's deal team and participates in or leads most deal related meetings. The successful candidate will drive necessary processes in a fast-paced M&A setting.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Experience with Sun and it's technology infrastructure is a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
* Must have worked in one of three settings: investment banking, venture capital, private equity
* Must have exceptional finance and accounting skills
* Must understand the M&A process
* Must have valuation expertise, including comparables and DCF
* Must be willing to assemble presentations as required
* Must have strong oral and written communication skills
* Must be extremely detail-oriented, near flawless work product
* Must have the ability to interface with broad spectrum of people, including target senior management and Sun senior executives

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Technology industry experience is a plus

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-7

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BA/BS (MBA preferred)
