CREDIT SPECIALIST I

Review loan applications and decision loans based on loan authority matrix and company guidelines, while exercising sound judgment and understanding company expectations and requirements.  Evaluate applicant's credit score card ratings to determine applicat's ability to repay loan.  Must remain consistent with system generated scores.  Obtain and review loan documention.  Work with buyer to restructure loan decision based on customer information.  Achieve company standards for volume, efficiency and return on asset.  Recognize loan exceptions that make good business sense that are outside of own loan authority and submit to next level for approval.  Work with Credit Investigator to coordinate direct investigation for up-front due diligence.

 



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

High School diploma or equivalent required.  College degree is preferred but not required with equivalent work experience.  2-3 years underwriting experience in the financial services or automotive industry.  Dealing with internal and external customers in a positive manner during difficult situations.  Good customer Service Skills. Ability to read and anaylyze credit bureau reports.  Ability to multi task and handle large volume of work.  Working knowledge of the Auto Industry
