Senior Consultant - Data Management/Data Mining specialist
This position involves the development and management of a database repository, for banking/financial services data related to 1) consumer lending and 2) consumer deposits. Analyzing large consumer banking datasets and formulating recommendations from analytical results.
Responsibilities:
* Creation of a robust
relational data model for consumer credit or consumer deposit products
* Developing automated procedures for importing, cleansing, and normalizing the data
* Constructing queries/views to support analysis and reporting of the data
* Designing and executing analytical procedures to identify exceptions, trends or patterns
* Performing some database administration
- Data Management Skill Set Requirements:* Required Skills: ANSI SQL, stored procedures, relational data modeling, database administration* Desired skills: Oracle 8i/9i or higher, PL/SQL, views, SQL Loader; familiarity with consumer banking industry* Additional Useful Skills: Oracle packages, bulk binds, understanding of multiple schemas and table spaces, familiarity with large data volumes, experience with query tuning* Other qualifying skills: SQL Server, DB2, MySQLCore Skills Required* 2+ years consulting skills a definite advantage * Strong communication skills a must* Understanding of consumer banking products (mortgage,
home equity, auto, credit card, deposits, etc.)* Proven experience analyzing consumer banking data
