A Collateral Analyst provides data support for the purchase, warehousing and securitization of whole mortgage loans. A Collateral Analyst will receive data files describing packages of mortgage loans offered for sale by the clients.
The data files are presented in the form of Excel spreadsheets. The CA will convert the client?s data into the firm's standard coding using CAS software. The converted data will be imported to a proprietary pricing engine. The converted data will also be run through the S&P Levels program as well as Duff levels. Once the bid for the package has been won, the CA will load the converted data to the inventory system. Within the next thirty days, the CA will provide data support in funding the loan package.
C.A.s will also be responsible for reviewing the inventory of mortgage loans to identify loans for securitization. The CA will provide data support for monthly securitizations with extensive contact with the trading desk, structurers, transaction managers, rating agencies, mortgage insurance providers, accounting firms, attorneys and governmental agencies.
Should have extensive Excel and Access skills. Macro writing would be helpful, but is not required. Previous experience with CAS software would be a great plus. Previous mortgage experience desired.
