Commercial Escrow Bookkeeper - Phoenix

Bookkeeper Responsibilities Receive and process invoices from vendors; prepare invoices for customers

Use automated financial system to prepare detailed reports

Arrange for indemnity deposits in local banks; enter in cash journal

Reconcile discrepancies in branch accounts, determine cause of discrepancy, and make corrective action to amend error

Transfer details of business transactions from documents into computer; use computer to enter financial data into appropriate financial system

Maintain petty cash fund, write checks to reimburse fund, and reconcile fund

Respond to questions from internal and external customers regarding status of accounts and problem resolution

Perform other clerical functions

Minimum Qualifications


Experience in the maintenance of financial records

Ability to perform difficult clerical tasks, perform mathematical computations, maintain records, and create reports

Ability to accumulate and develop financial information to prepare financial reports

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Knowledge of and ability to use standard office equipment

Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft Office software and Internet Explorer

Ability to lift boxes of checks; manual dexterity sufficient to separate and distribute checks and reports

High school diploma with two years of experience maintaining financial and statistical records, including experience with company bookkeeping transactions or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications


Working knowledge of services provided in connection with the issuance of title insurance

Knowledge of legal instruments affecting title to real property

Experience processing transactions using RamQuest and/or CRRAR
