Consolidation & Financial Reporting Controller

CITY: Burlington STATE: Vermont COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Manage all operations of financial reporting department
* Lead and direct efforts to close financial records on monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
* Maintain ERP general ledger and lead all ERP general ledger discussions and integrations.
* Ensure consistency and accuracy in all accounting practices, risk assessment and evaluation for the business.
* Prepare and monitor corporate reporting submissions at month and quarter-end.
* Manage the intercompany account reconciliation process.
* Optimize workflow and processes to streamline the overall workflow of the department.
* Lead effort to minimize non-value added functions within the department and drive a business partner mentality.
* Apply controllership skills and lead broad-based global initiatives.
* Partner with the Global Controller to quickly resolve a wide variety of complex technical accounting and transactional issues.
* Exhibit outstanding leadership and effective communication.
* Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
* 4-year degree and 5+ years experience
* CPA and public accounting experience
* Excellent understanding of GAAP
* Excellent analytical skills
* Comfortable operating in a fast paced environment
* High level of self confidence and strong presentation skills
* "Out of the box" thinker and good influencing skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead process implementation in a team environment, prioritize and drive multiple programs.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Computer literacy: MS Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle a plus
* Six Sigma Green Belt
