Construction Auditor

CITY: TBD STATE: Unspecified State COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Work with Program Managers and Contracts Attorney to ensure compliance with policies and contract terms for all active projects globally.

* Audit construction projects globally for consistency and compliance with accounting rules and regulations.

* Support customers (GE Business finance leaders) to assure costs are accounted for properly during project execution and closing.

* Partner with asset management, program managers, attorneys and benchmark with industry experts to understand and communicate the proper treatment for asset accounting during the project and post implementation. The complexity of construction projects requires differing accounting treatments; this person will become the expert in that area and will apply that knowledge to all active projects globally.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in finance/accounting or related field

* 3-5 years finance experience

* Strong analytical and accounting skills and communication skills

* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize meet deadlines

* Self starter, team player, process driven

Desired:
* FMP or Audit Staff experience
