Contract Compliance Auditor

Responsibilities:
1. Manage, analyze and monitor financial impact, feasibility and system?s constraints of processing allowances. Analyze business opportunities/risks from both business and financial perspectives.
2. Set guidelines and protocol for monitoring rebates/chargebacks. Work with the distributors and customer service to insure performance of contracts based on trade class and expectations. Perform audits at customer site, verify reports and implement adjustments and enhancements as needed.
3. Review and compare client records / distributors, etc., where we have a contractual relationship for measuring compliance with all business and financial terms and conditions of the contract agreement.
4. Audit the application of any contractual defined credits or rebates including but not limited to price and volume discounts, educational support materials and/or discounts, etc.
5. Audit for any specific contract language that forbids, prohibits or otherwise restricts the resale of product.
6. In accordance with our existing contract and in line with good business practices, perform a cooperative financial and business audit covering the contractual elements of our business relationship. The audit will focus upon the terms, conditions and operating policies and procedures in general and specific to our contractual agreement.
7. Defined audit schedule and measure audit performance routinely.
8. Review and investigate account records (i.e. Distributors, Mail Order Houses) and compare them to contract agreement(s) to ensure compliance with all business and financial terms and conditions stipulated in the agreement.
9. Perform contract compliance audits to review account information pertaining to sales, shipping, billing and allowances and confirm that all rebates and allowances that where given were valid; look for signs of fraud (i.e. double billing, billing with no shipping documents attached, valid customers).
10. Work closely with internal organizations such as customer service, contract administration, contract compliance, sales, marketing and order entry to obtain all necessary account information.
11. Coordinate auditing efforts between Contract Compliance Auditor to ensure proper communication between Bayer and accounts and to provide input regarding aligning and developing specific auditing strategies.
12. Trace gray market diverted product and maintain log.
13. Negotiate settlements between account and Bayer regarding a chargeback funds due back to Bayer. Incorporate the Legal department?s expertise where applicable.
14. Inspect larger customer operations, inquiring about signing a Bayer contract to verify business operations are in place to meet contract guidelines.

Skills:
Must have had in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with contract analysis and financial reporting. Must be knowledgeable of accounting processes, understanding P&L/Balance Sheet interactions.

Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel are a must and familiarity with database applications such as Microsoft Access are required as well as Microsoft Word and Power Point.

Experience working in a global business environment with multi-site operations. Experience in working/interacting with Sales, Marketing, and Customer base.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to write cohesive, knowledgeable audit reports and to effectively make presentations to all levels of management. Strong initiative taking and problem solving skills required.

Education & Typical Experience:
Typical education would be a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with 3 - 6 yrs. experience.
