BRC operates 23 programs in 20 locations throughout New York City, with a direct service budget of nearly $30 million annually.  Primary program funding sources include contracts with a dozen city, state and federal government agencies, and Medicaid, with additional support from private individuals, foundations, and corporations.  With over 450 full-time and part-time staff, BRC operates 24/7/365.  Services cover a broad spectrum including outreach to homeless individuals on the streets and in the subways, residential and outpatient treatment programs, case management and housing. 

 

POSITION: Contracts Director

 

 

HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours per week

  Monday ? Friday, 9:00am ? 5:00 pm

 

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Finance (Controller), the Contracts Director?s primary responsibility is to ensure that BRC meets the fiscal, programmatic and administrative requirements of contracts with the federal, state and local governments as well as with corporate, foundation and other grants that BRC receives.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Maintain control of all original contracts with federal, state and local governments and other agencies.  For each contract, highlight and summarize requirements including all reporting deadlines for distribution to program personnel and for use in performing the duties listed below. Facilitate the development and submission of reports in accordance with grantor guidelines, i.e., Grant renewals, Technical Submission, Annual Progress Reports, Annual Reviews, etc. Ensure compliance with all of BRC?s funding sources? applicable contractual and regulatory commitments and obligations including budgeting, reporting and outcome evaluation; Conduct proposal reviews and assist with the preparation of proposal and proposal revisions; Prepare request for payment from funding sources and funds drawdown; Advise on and monitor fiscal and regulatory aspects of grants and contracts related to BRC?s programmatic initiatives, including review of internal budget modifications Interfaces with senior management and program directors and assists in the development and/or provision of contract management related trainings to facilitate staff development and increase compliance; Supervises program accountants in performance of budget monitoring, report submission, etc. Related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 Bachelor?s degree required, Masters preferred. Experience with governmental contracts, reporting and budgeting required. Good organization and communication skills are critical to success in this position.
