Contracts Manager

Clearly, we are well positioned for the future. We are currently looking for a qualified Contract Manager to join our World Wide Services Finance team at our Herndon, VA office.

This position is responsible for the daily management and oversight of Federal services contract team in daily operations to ensure proper contract review, setup and approval of Federal services contracts for accurate revenue recognition and billing, financial reporting and commissioning. Responsibilities include coordinating work performed by Federal Contracts Administrators, reviewing, approving, and executing Federal contracts, managing process improvement and quality within the contracts team ensuring a continual cycle of review and improvement, managing the contract booking cycle. Ensure compliance with CA Technology Services (CA TS) Engagement Management Model, financial and company policies and procedures, and overseeing and ensuring resolution for all Federal service contract and related commission issues. Also responsible for training and assisting Federal Contract Representatives in all phases of their work as necessary, actively managing development of direct reports and provide coaching and feedback as part of overall performance management process, assisting and communicating with the Federal CA TS management organization on inquiries and issues, providing input and guidance on Federal contract pre-approvals, and managing requests for expediting Federal contract approval.

The successful candidate will have 3 or more years of corporate managerial experience, a minimum of 2 or more years experience of analyzing and providing feedback/revisions on professional service related Federal contracts, excellent customer service skills, the ability to work with business partners (CA TS) and drive appropriate business solutions acting as the financial expert in customer related transactions, strong written and verbal communication skills with strong planning and facilitation skills, strong financial background and prior financial experience (contracts, billing, collections), and strong analytical skills. Must have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable financial applications is preferred, the ability to work extended hours when required and be able to travel when required and the ability to travel 5% annually. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a business related area is strongly preferred.
