Controller/Chief Accounting Officer

Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is an innovative cancer drug discovery company focused on discovering and developing therapeutics that target cancer cell survival utilizing Infinity?s novel small molecule chemistry platform.

Position Overview:

Provide financial expertise and consultation to the Chief Business Officer/Chief Financial Officer while overseeing the daily operational financial activities, including SEC reporting. Major contributor for the execution of the organizations financial plan.

Responsibilities:

Organizational responsibility for the finance department including accounting, payroll and procurement
Manage the daily operational activities of the accounting department and quarterly external reporting
Establish policies, procedures and controls for the company
Ensure that financials are accurate and in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, SEC, Revenue recognition according to GAAP, and other governmental regulations
Primary responsibility for ongoing compliance with Sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and SEC financial reporting
Primary responsibility for internal financial reporting to management and external financial reporting to shareholders and the SEC
Oversee third-party relationships including Sarbanes Oxley consultants, Independent Auditors and Tax consultants.
Lead preparation of budgets and forecasts
Advise management on desirable operational adjustments
Treasury and cash management
Oversee risk management function
Provide regular financial updates and presentations to the CBO/CFO and other management staff
Ensure systems keep up with growth of company



Requirements:

?Certified public accountant with at least 5 years experience
?Controller of a publicly traded company for at least 2 years
?Biotech/life science industry experience preferred but willing to consider medical device or software backgrounds
