Controller/Director of Finance

Must have manufacturing experience, CPA preferred.

Job Purpose:

Accomplishes organization's strategic financial objectives by developing, monitoring, and evaluating plans and results; enforcing controls.



Duties:

* Develops plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial results to guide management decisions by forecasting requirements; preparing budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; preparing economic studies and forecasts; developing and providing background information; developing and enforcing planning schedules; preparing planning narratives.



* Secures financing by tracking, measuring, evaluating, and forecasting financial results; identifying needs and trends; analyzing capital needs; managing deposits; negotiating credit with banks.



* Conducts financial analyses to identify profit improvement opportunities by studying business opportunities; determining expansion or purchase of plant facilities or product lines; evaluating options; recommending courses of action.



* Protects assets by establishing credit policies; developing and managing credit procedures; providing physical asset insurance coverage; establishing, auditing, and enforcing internal controls; arranging for and participating in external audits.



* Complies with regulatory requirements by approving and filing statements and reports; filing returns; paying taxes.



* Guides internal actions by developing and enforcing policies and procedures.



* Obtains revenue and pays obligations by establishing accounts receivable and payable systems.



* Represents the organization by communicating and interacting with governmental agencies.



* Authorizes agreements by representing the organization with financial institutions.


* Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.



* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

CPA required. Financial Planning and Strategy, Forecasting, Corporate Finance, Quality Management, Promoting Process Improvement, Judgment, Managing Profitability, Strategic Planning, Internal Communications, Organizational Astuteness, Analyzing Information
