Cost Accounting Manager

The Manager Cost Accounting has responsibility for the development and maintenance of standard costs. They will work directly with operations to understand the key cost drivers of the business. The Manager has direct responsibility for month-end close procedures, forecasting, and budgeting.

- Develop and maintain cost standards. Work directly with operations to understand cost drivers of business.
- Month - end close responsibilities. Run monthly reports, reconcile accounts and post adjusting journal entries as necessary
- Forecasting & budgeting - assist Director of Finance with monthly forecasts and annual budget. Investigate and explain variances to forecast and budget.
- Ad Hoc requests - assist management with requests for information and analyses.

Bachelor Degree. MBA, CMA, or CPA a plus
5-10 years combination of cost accounting and general accounting experience
Two years product costing and manufacturing accounting background, with a strong understanding of standard costing and manufacturing variance reporting
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and shop floor operations
Knowledge of inventory management
Experience working with all levels of management
