Cost Engineering Technician

Provide assistance to Project Services in preparing monthly cost data, invoice payment requests, contractor bid evaluation spreadsheets and maintain estimate database.

?Provide Administrative / Technical assistance to the Cost /Schedule Engineers.
?Review Vendor and Contractor Invoices for Payment
?Prepare Invoice Payment Requests
?Maintain Invoice Records
?Maintain Job Order System within Project Services
?Tracking current PO?s and Change Orders against the Management Approvals.
?Maintain Cost Estimating Database
?Assist in Preparation of Monthly Status Report
?Prepare Monthly Cost Reports
?Prepare Budget Reconciliation Data
?Prepare Contract Bid Evaluation Spreadsheets

 

REQUIREMENTS:

?Knowledge of Cost / Schedule Control Tools & Programs
?Shows Initiative and is a Problem Solver
?Has Good Analytical Skills
?Has Good Communication Skills
?Familiar with EXCEL, WORD, and PWR Point.

*Two to five years experience as a cost engineering tech with specific experience in project management, construction, contract administration, operations, maintenance and/or utility planning. 

*Familiar with estimating process is preferred.

* Knowledge of Project Management concepts, Project Controls Systems, Corporate Financial Systems and Capital Budget process. 

*Ability to maintain cost/schedule aspects of project status reporting system.  Advanced math skills which apply to estimating, forecasting, cost control standards, economic evaluations, bid evaluations and contract analysis.  *Good verbal and written communication skills required plus familiar with software products:  EXCEL, WORD, and Power Point.
