Credit Officer

TIB-The Independent BankersBank is located in Irving, Texas.  We are currently seeking a Credit Officer to work in our Lending department.  TIB offers great benefits and a 401(k) program.

 

Basic Function:

To review credit memorandum for approval, assuring compliance with loan policy and providing reporting on loan portfolio as needed; supervise underwriters; administer loan sales function.

 

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

1.  Review and approve new and renewal credit memorandum prior to loan committee as requested by the servicing officers within the area; assure conformance with credit underwriting standards; supervise underwriters to assure uniform underwriting process.

2.  Perform analysis of loan portfolio as needed for reporting to management and Board, including segmentation of the portfolio, monitoring of concentrations by loan type and geography and monitoring of underwriting standards by loan type. 

3.  Monitor compliance with loan policy and assure adequate reporting of exceptions.

4.  Work with Credit Training to assist with training of credit analysts as needed.

5.  Establish loan sales process including procedures, business process, and policy; manage function.

6.  Perform other duties assigned by management.

 

Requirements / Desired Qualifications:

?  Four year degree - Banking, Finance and/or Accounting preferred

?  12-15 hours of Accounting

?  2 years financial institution analyst experience

?  2 years underwriting experience

?  Some managerial experience desirable

?  Regular and punctual attendance is required

?  Individual should possess good interpersonal skills

?  Individual should be able to work within a team environment

?  Ability to communicate effectively
