De Lage Landen Financial Services, Inc., an international provider of high-quality, asset-based products that provide leasing and financial solutions to vendor-based business partners throughout the Americas and Europe, currently seeks a Credit Officer I for our North American headquarters located in Wayne, PA.

 Position Description

Prepare credit underwriting through analysis and deciding on middle market credit applications; structure and negotiate approval terms and conditions of lease transactions. Provide ongoing evaluation and tracking of portfolio quality through lease review process. Interact with other team members, customers, and vendors regarding specific transactions and programs. Identify training needs and provide training. This position requires the ability to initiate and complete a review of a new or existing line of credit. Documentation as well as payment performance and leasing activity are addressed in the review with recommendations made. Presentation to department management as well as Credit Committee as required. Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate leasing transactions by: Performing financial statement analysis, credit investigation, scorecard matrixing, exposure evaluation. Identifying lease structure, collateral and document requirements and decision transaction.Perform annual reviews of existing customers  Reviewing financial condition of dealer, credit decision line increase request. Reviewing existing documentation for completeness/proper execution, and discussing payment history with Account Analyst. Discuss with leasing/sales/operation issues involving vendor. Documentation review and administration up to individual credit authority: Recommend appropriate documentation for each transaction. Prepare credit applications or credit write-ups. Perform nonstandard credit application function. Prepare and present transactions to credit committee decisioning. Prepare vendor applications.

 Education and other credentialsBS degree in accounting, finance or related field, MBA preferred. Formal bank credit training program preferred. Knowledge of healthcare market preferred

 

Experience2-5 years credit experience in a bank or bank owned leasing company.
Relationship management experience preferred. Technical/Functional skills and knowledge: PC software including spreadsheet and word processing. Understands purpose of lease/legal documentation and terms and conditions of the lease itself.Knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis, projection analysis, industry/market credit research. Understanding of Uniform Commercial Code requirements.

Regular office work including extensive use of computers.
