S.A.C. Capital Advisors, LLC is a private investment management firm founded by Steven A. Cohen, which (through a predecessor entity) began operations in August of 1992.  From its state-of-the-art facility in Stamford, Connecticut and its affiliated offices in New York City and San Francisco, the Firm manages a number of private investment funds with diverse portfolios as well as specialized sector portfolios such as healthcare, fixed-income, and electrical utility. 

 

SAC Operations consists of 5 teams of approximately 50 professionals supporting 75+ Portfolio Managers across the United States and Europe.  With tremendous daily volume in  and the ongoing introduction of new products and trading strategies, the Operations team is constantly challenged to meet the growing demands of our client base. Cross-trained, cross-functional and personally accountable, members of the Operations team are expected ? above and beyond their daily/monthly responsibilities - to continually enhance operating efficiencies. 

 

Operations represents the instant infrastructure promised to new Portfolio Managers in their recruitment to SAC.  As such, SAC prides itself on the quality of service it provides to the front office and its ability to adjust to the changing needs of the business.

 

 Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all data used in our daily processes. General responsibilities will include:Product setup, pricing and updates for a wide array of products (global equity, equity derivative, futures, fixed income, credit and bond derivatives, ISDA based products, etc.),  Executing broker setup and maintenancePB Custodial, Synthetic and FCM setupTrade file management and managing exception itemsCorporate Actions processing and managing exception items Setup of new internal accounts and strategy codesResponsible for commission mapping and updatesCentral liaison for all data needs for accounting, operations, risk management, trading, legal, compliance and managementAd hoc projects such as firm-wide holdings and trading inquiries for regulatory or other needs.

 

The ideal candidate should have:1-3 years experience in a financial institution or hedge fundclear and articulate verbal and written communication skillsproficient in Excelcollege degree in finance or related fields.
