Job Summary Provides financial support for overall Operations Headquarters areas (includes Purchasing, Facilities & Engineering, Corporate Health Services, Quality Assurance and Customer & Technical Operations). Lead all planning, estimating and budgeting efforts associated with these activities. Measure and report financial performance related to these activities.

Major Responsibilities:
Lead group of financial liaisons providing financial support to the Operations HQ (Core) Group supporting planning, reporting, and analysis of financial performance.
Develop value-added financial reporting for the Operations Leadership Team
Provide financial support for business case development within Operations such as sourcing decisions, analysis of new initiatives, capital expenditure decisions and contract negotiations
Provide business support for Trade Channel Strategy Initiatives including
Wholesaler Distribution Services Agreements
Wholesaler Redistribution Center Agreements
Direct to Retail & Mail-order Self-warehousing
Lead the following processes within the Operations Group including scheduling, guideline development, communication plan, and review & approval processes:
Annual budget development (ABU)
Quarterly update development (RBU)
Monthly Operations HQ financial & headcount reporting
Manage the following financial and accounting processes including the management of the accounting staff responsible for the reserves and the interaction / communication with an to appropriate Operations and Brand customers and stakeholders:
Distribution Service Agreement reserves
Expired Product Return reserves
Sample distribution costs
Product distribution costs
Manage the Capital Sanctioning Process in conjunction with the Operations Capital Planning Coordinator. Operations HQ point-of-contact for financial transaction queries and guidance.
Ensure that all applicable accounting, reporting & controls activities are in compliance with and adhere to existing policies & procedures including SOX 404 and the Financial Controls Framework


Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or related field
Ten years experience in finance and accounting
Knowledge of the Manufacturing and Operations support aspects of a pharmaceutical organization
Strong analytical skills, ability to develop and analyze complex issues
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and management skills
Proven ability to successfully work in a dynamic work environment
Experienced in partnering with other functions to achieve success
Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in teams

Preferred Background:
Masters in Business Administration with a major in Finance preferred
Ten + years experience in the pharmaceutical industry at various finance / operations positions
Full knowledge of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Operations
Ability to interconnect complex business issues
