Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Purpose:
As the Director of Corp Finance and Accounting, you will use Finance/IT knowledge to assist with the stabilization of corporate finance & accounting disciplines in new SAP / PeopleSoft environment.

Essential Functions include:
Continually reviewing finance processes to improve overall efficiency of the accounting/finance function.
Assisting in driving reduction in financial closing cycle.
Reviewing corporate reporting for accuracy and compliance.
Supporting a strong GE controllership focus in the businesses.
Oversight of the VUE/USI Corporate consolidation, close process and general ledger.
Preparation of quarterly financial reporting and supplemental reporting requirements for the VUE Corporate and USI Corporate ledgers.
Working with the NBCU tax department to account for deferred and current income taxes.
Oversight and accounting for various corporate investments.
Accounting for various FAS 133 derivatives and hedge related activities.
Documentation of current accounting and reporting process and SOX compliance.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field
Minimum 7 years of relative accounting/finance work experience
