Position Summary

 

As the Director of Financial Analysis for the BioReliance business unit, the selected candidate will be part of the General Manager?s local leadership team.

 

Position Details

 

Responsibilities will include revenue forecasting and base cost planning and management. While most accounting duties (i.e. payroll, accounts payable, credit & collections, general ledger, etc.) will be supported by a centralized shared service organization, the position will have responsibility for defining, implementing and maintaining an enhanced cost system for this service unit. The position will work with corporate financial accounting to ensure compliance with will financial reporting requirements as well as provide functional areas and business units with accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. This position will also provide day-to-day supervision for one Sr. Analyst and coordinate business unit financial activities with regional analyst. Other responsibilities include: proforma P&L and interpretation, margin analysis, variable cost productivity measurement (VCP), capital project justification and management, and strategic planning.

 

Education Requirements

 

B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

 

Experience Requirements

 8-10 years in Operations Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or service provider environmentPrior leadership position designing and establishing an effective department Effective financial analytical skills and demonstrated experience with complex financial reporting processFamiliarity with cost accounting methodology and systemsStrong leadership, interpersonal, and communication (written/verbal) skillsExperience with international accounting operations in a multi-site environment is preferred
