Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Ownership all FP&A Processes:
Consolidated forecasting process, weekly, monthly, quarterly
Quarterly close process including pacing and submission materials
Annual and long-range plans
Capital planning, reporting & analysis
Variance analysis
Risks / opportunities - communicating and working closely with business operating and finance leads
Executive level presentations
Leading weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews to analyze results and key information
Synthesize and articulate key findings as appropriate for Operating, Finance, and Executive audiences
Partnering with Finance / IT groups to define and implement system improvements, finance and operating dashboards
Financial modeling
Working with SAP Implementation team to redesign News financial reporting structure and accounting flow for a January 2008 roll-out
Building and mentoring a first-class FP&A team

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 8 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Proficient computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum 6 years management experience - coaching skills and dedication in developing team
Solid business & media perspective with experience or interest in News Industry
