Accountabilities:Responsible for the leadership and management of the Accounting team supporting corporate reporting.Maintain a senior-level of responsibility for the integrity of financial statements and disclosures, including compliance with US GAAP, and SEC Rules.Analysis of financial statements for trends, accounting errors.Lead the development, execution, management and updating a monthly reporting package for the monthly close process which will be utilized by Corporate Accounting and Senior Management in analyzing actual results.Answering technical questions and providing requested financial information.Analysis of internal controls for weaknesses and establishing and maintaining sound internal controls within SOX environment.Make recommendations and highlight high-impact opportunities.Implementing and maintaining performance goals, coaching direct reports and their staff and implementing staff development opportunities.Coordinate and review quarterly and annual tax provision.Communication with internal auditors, regulatory auditors and external auditors.

 

Skill Sets

 3 to 5 years experience in accounting.

 Solid understanding of accounting, GAAP principles and statutory requirements.

 Proven experience in people management is strongly preferred.

 Big 4 experience preferred.  Taxation experience a plus.

 Expertise in the use and application of spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) required and database analysis and report creation (Microsoft Access) preferred.

 Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem solving skills.

 

Education / Certification

? BS or MS Accounting

? CPA

? MBA a plus
