Director of Finance, CIS

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-focused Director of Finance to join our team. The successful candidate must have strong financial skills and experience, business knowledge of the healthcare industry and the ability to work with leadership teams within Clinical Information Services. Clinical Information Services is a business unit within Clinical Technology and Services. The Director of Finance must have strong financial skills and experience, business knowledge of the healthcare industry and the ability to work with leadership teams within Clinical Information Services, CTS, IPS and other CAH businesses. This position reports directly to the Vice President Finance, CTS Controller with matrix reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Information Services.

Duties will include :

* Leadership of the finance function supporting Clinical Information Services. Provides essential financial support for business development functions within Clinical Information Services.

* Key member of Clinical Information Services' management team supporting business strategic planning and business decision processes.

* Key liaison to Medication Products, IPS, IMS, Pharmacy Services, Supply Products and other functional groups within Clinical Technologies and Services .

* Directs and manages the day to day financial reporting, planning, forecasting, profitability analysis and other processes for Clinical Information Services. Director will lead and provide financial analysis for information product related business cases, help establish user requirements for financial benchmarks within hospitals, assist in determining ROI for information technology capital purchases and develop and monitor CIS performance scorecard.

* Ensures business unit compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for managing internal controls, audit issues and processes for the business unit.

* Responsible for accuracy in accounting and reporting for the business. Ensures that financial statements and related accounting procedures are prepared and maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP). Requires knowledge of pricing and accounting for software applications, commercial information support services and internal data support services.

* Responsible for ensuring contracts are analyzed in accordance with GAAP. Provides technical expertise for complex revenue recognition issues for the business unit and segment. Responsible for assessing, evaluating and documenting the proper accounting treatment for multiple element arrangements, working with IMS, corporate accounting and external auditors. Ensures information related to such contracts is properly disseminated.

* Provides coordination and consolidation of contract administration activities for Clinical Information Services

Requirements :

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master's degree, CPA or CMA desirable. Demonstrated track record of success within the healthcare industry, business operations and finance.

* Must have prior experience in a large, multi-organization accounting environment, either as a member of the company's accounting department or as an auditor. Must understand technical accounting terms and understand their application to the company's daily operations. Must have the ability to grasp new concepts and integrate new processes and ideas into the function. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding time management skills are required. Results orientation and results focus are key competencies.

* The director must possess strong cross-functional leadership skills and will understand how to bring these qualities to bear in a fast-paced and complex environment. Matrix management and consensus building skills are critically important. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and tasks. Must be able to diffuse problem situations calmly and rationally.

* Must be able to travel at a level of 10%.

* Must be able to represent Clinical Information Services at key business unit leadership meetings.
