Director of Finance Survey Division

Job Summary The Director of Finance establishes economic and financial objectives for the division. The Director of Finance plays a critical role in the division strategy development and deployment as well as providing input to the business model suggesting improvements or changes needed. Comfortable with management on exception strategies and tools including balanced scorecard and metrics as well as tracking the overall progress towards the major objectives for the Division and providing needed reports for the management Team.

 You will provide financial counsel on major business decisions and controls and safeguards division assets. You will also select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Primary Duties:

? Responsible for the integrity of division?s financial statements.

? Understand and communicate division?s financial results and trends to division management team and Corporate Finance.

? Support acquisitions and the integration of acquisitions

? Develop monthly, quarterly forecast and annual budgets.

? Play a critical role in the monthly MPS process.

? Actively involved in division?s resource planning.

? Actively involved in developing and analyzing division?s product and market development plans.

? Work with division management in developing pricing policies.

? Develop working capital initiatives that maximize division?s return on inventory and receivables.  Develop receivable initiatives jointly with Corporate Treasury.

? Review and approve division?s capital expenditures to assure compliance to division?s goals and priorities as well as return on investment initiatives.

? Review major contracts to assure accounting treatment is in accordance with Corporate and US GAAP policy.

? Play a critical role in division?s business development needs such as acquisitions or strategic partnering relationships.

? Develops formal and ad hoc reports that are required by division management in running the business.

 

 

 

Requirements:

? Minimum 7 years in the accounting profession.

? Minimum 3 years in a management capacity.

 

? Deep and current understanding of accounting procedures, i.e. U. S. GAAP, SEC reporting and particularly revenue recognition practices.

? Strong international background

? Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.

? Strong analytical and planning experience in a global, publicly traded company. 

? Ability to work with executive management in articulating and driving financial and operational strategies.

? Possess solid understanding of financial impact of business decisions. Ability to define and achieve business goals, and to drive to resolution on critical issues.

? Ability to communicate across business functions and divisions.

? Presentation skills at the executive management level.

? Highly developed leadership and management experience in hiring and developing talent.

? Extensive knowledge of business systems software and ERP solutions, i.e. Oracle, ASK, Hyperion.

 

Education / Experience 

? Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.

? MBA required.

? CPA is beneficial.
