Director of Financial Operations Analysis

 

This senior level position is responsible for monitoring and managing the financial health of the Operations of Bed Bath & Beyond.  This position works directly with almost all departments in the company, including but not limited to: store operations, supply chain, customer service, bridal, information technology, finance, purchasing, loss prevention, regional store management, marketing, Harmon and Christmas Tree Shops.  The Director of Financial Operations Analysis will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Operations Analysis. 

 

Responsibilities of the position focus on the following:Ensure the company makes informed decisions through appropriate data analysisDevelop ad hoc data analysisCreate and maintain actionable reporting tools for various constituentsEnsure data integrity Create and manage process supporting various company and departmental initiatives Act as liaison between Finance departments and other departments within companyRepresent Finance perspective to rest of company as part of cross-functional teamDevelop required analysis and reportingWork as part of a team in making business decisionsManage store budgeting processSalesPayrollFreightDevelop action plan to drive store profitabilityStore specific marketing related initiativesCost savingsDevelopment of ?Expertise? in the Supply Chain areaBusiness AnalystCost savings analysis ROI calculations related to large capital expendituresEffective leadership of team of analysts

 

Competencies required include:Analytical - knack for understanding and manipulating quantitative relationsStrong leadership skills - ability to hire, develop, and manage multiple teamsStrong communication skills ? ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds and at all levels of the organization Strong mediation skills ? ability to understand and reconcile varying perspectivesComputer literate -  Working knowledge of Excel

 

QualificationsBachelors degree in finance or accounting8-12 years work experience
