Division Controller - Operations

Olympic Steel is a national steel service center that processes and distributes flat-rolled carbon and stainless steel products.? Our Iowa Division, located in Bettendorf,?has an immediate opening for a Regional Controller - Operations. This newly created position is responsible for providing financial support and analysis to the leaders of four divisions (profit & loss operations) that comprise the Central Region. This support includes, but is not limited to, developing financial reports and analysis, evaluating capital expenditures, recommending strategies to deal with obsolete equipment, performing cost analysis of various programs and services, analyzing inventory levels and associated costs, etc.

Qualified candidates must have a degree in Finance or Accounting and 5-10 years experience in general industry. MBA and CPA certification strongly preferred. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, analytical skills and excellent communication skills are also required.

This position reports directly to the General Managers and partners closely with the Regional Controller - Finance and Accounting.

?



This position will require 20-30% business travel via automobile or air.
